The Confederate flag is a great example of how American history has been altered by statists and weaponized by the political left. It’s also an example of the fact that whoever wins the war gets to write the history books. The truth of the matter is that pretty much everything you’ve been taught about the Civil War by the establishment is a lie. For example, consider Abraham Lincoln’s proposed 13th Amendment to the US Constitution. Here’s the text: “No amendment shall be made to the Constitution which will authorize or give Congress the power to abolish or interfere within any state with the domestic institutions thereof, including that a person’s held to labor or service by laws of said State.” Does it make sense that a president who wanted to make it forever impossible for Congress to abolish slavery would instigate a horrific war to abolish slavery? This can only make sense (in some incomprehensible way) in the scrambled minds of victims of public school indoctrination. This example is only one of many. (If you have a desire to un-indoctrinate yourself, make sure to check out the Liberty Classroom section of this website.)
Why is this such an important issue? Abraham Lincoln reversed the Constitutional power structure between the states and the federal government. Originally the federal government was a creation of the states and therefore existed to serve the states. By levying war against the states that wished to leave the voluntary union (levying war against the states is the Constitutional definition of treason, by the way), the federal government subjugated the states. The servant became the master. Centralized power is always the goal of tyrants so this historic power grab was an incredibly significant win for the ruling class, and one that they will protect at all costs. This brutal act of tyranny is deceptively portrayed as a benevolent human rights crusade to free the slaves and “preserve the union.” American school children are taught this lie when very young to prevent them from even thinking to question the re-defined, unconstitutional, oppressive role of the federal government today. As an extra measure of assurance, the Confederate flag is falsely propagandized as a symbol of racism to further intimidate anyone who may dare to question the status quo. There’s a reason that such a thing as the federal Department of Education exists, and this should help explain that reason.
In summary, the Confederate flag represents resistance to treasonously unconstitutional federal usurpation of power from the states by force, for the empowerment of tyrants and the detriment of humanity. That’s why it’s demonized by statists. Even after this detailed explanation, there are those who will make the predictable, worn-out Marxist accusation that this is a “racist” product. Nothing could be further from the truth.
